Tr.Li.Ac. Jazz, Hip Hop & Neo Soul

Tr.Li.Ac is a new band driven by improvisation, emerging from idioms in neo soul, hip hop, and jazz. The name of the band is an acronym for “Trust, Listen, Action,” the main practice that drives the band and their performances. Starting from a simple form of a standard or familiar record, the band transforms the music and makes it their own, sometimes staying within it, sometimes making other explorations in the moment. Much like how a DJ conducts their set, their performances put an emphasis on keeping the music fluid and undefined by the expectations that it may hold before being played.
