Nic Bray Quartet, Jazz Fusion, Folk, Soul & Latin Influences
The Nic Bray Quartet’s soulful yet modern sound weaves together a rich tapestry that draws from many differing musical traditions such as jazz, folk, R&B, soul, funk, and hip-hop, as well as Brazilian and Cuban diaspora musics.
Having had compositions premiered/and or commissioned by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, to name a few, Manitoban composer and performer Nic Bray makes his Toronto vocal and saxophone debut playing originals and standards with the Nic Bray Quartet, just one month before making his international debut as composer in residence for the Next Step Clarinet Festival in Veracruz, Mexico.
