New Hue is the artistic project of the 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Jakob Russell. He blends elements of bedroom pop and indie music to create an optimistic and relaxing sound. He spends his musical time sitting in the comfort of his bedroom writing, recording, and mixing his music. He released his first EP Titled “Letters From a Loved One” at the start of 2024. He wrote played all the instruments baring the drums, and recorded the four songs off of this EP for songwriting class. Since then, he has been inspired to continue writing and recording music his own music.
