Justin Hill, Featuring Michelle Calder and Samm Bailey, Folk-rock meets folk-pop

Where Two Rockin Canmore Boys and a Sweet Nova Scotian Folk-Pop Gal, Meet in The Middle For One Night Only, For a Fun Night of Folk-Pop/Rock Fusion.

Nova Scotian folk-pop singer-songwriter Michelle Calder is on a multi-provincial tour this September, backed by Canmore Alberta’s award-winning multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter/producer Samm Bailey. Together, they’re teaming up with talented Canmore friend Justin Hill for an unmissable show in Toronto for one night only, before Michelle and Samm board the Via Rail Train to Edmonton the next day, to perform 9 shows on the train.

Justin Hill is a singer songwriter from the little rivers of Canmore AB. Singin’ Bluesy folky strawberry punk jams, Justin’s debut album “”What Was That?”” was his first step in the direction of becoming a more serious career musician, and he’s had great success these past few years promoting his “Blind Man” LP. These days, Justin can be found playing around Toronto, and teaching at Toronto’s School of Rock.

2025 & 2026 ISSA finalist Michelle Calder masterfully serenades her audiences with themes of nature, hiking, travel and adventure. Her whimsical sweetly honey’d soprano vocals, (think Jewel with notes of Lisa Loeb), paired with Samm Bailey’s plucky acoustic guitar riffs, versatile backing vocals and larger than life charm, (think Jack Black), aim to entice even the indoorsiest of folks to seek out the wildling within.
