Matt Newton Quartet Modern Acoustic Jazz

Toronto-based jazz pianist and composer Matt Newton will be performing as the bandleader on tenor saxophone for the first time at The Emmet Ray on October 17, 2025. Known for his work on the piano, this performance marks a new musical chapter as Newton explores the saxophone, playing a set of original compositions as well as some choice standards. He will be playing with two of his long-time collaborators, guitarist Harley Card and bassist Dan Fortin. Joining them will be the young and talented Will Bentley on drums.
