James Griffith Quartet, Modern Jazz

James Griffith is a national-award winning young rising star of Canadian jazz. Winner of the 2024 International Saxophone Symposium Jazz Saxophone Competition, Griffith is an active member of the Toronto music scene and many groups including Listening Room, Marmalade, the Live Video Game Jazz Orchestra and more. On Saturday May 17th his quartet will present a program of new original music as well arrangements of American Songbook and Jazz standards. The group features all star Toronto guitarist Andrew Marzotto, bassist Jack Johnston and drummer Alex Sgrignoli.
