Henry Denis & His Music Makers, Sweet and hot swing with partial trad jazz/bebop influences.

The brainchild of an experienced Emmet Ray performer and an eager vocalist, Henry Denis & His Music Makers aims to recapture the allure of the “”Swing Era.”” From playing standard favorites which have lasted into the modern day, to forgotten tunes which are glossed over by most in the jazz idiom; the band blends hot jumpin’ sides with sweet bubbly ballads. Interspersed between the music is the humorous ramblings of an eccentric emcee — who has perhaps time traveled from a different era — keeping the show moving and the audience puzzled as to his sobriety. Expect some active audience participation as well, for what is a swing outfit without the audience joining in on the fun? If you want to hear the kind of music that keeps to the bar, and is plainly au reet, come on down to hear Henry Denis and His Music Makers.
