Esra Gürçay is a singer-songwriter and jazz artist from Istanbul, Turkey, currently studying jazz at the University of Toronto. She sings modern jazz standards, often accompanied by her own lyrics, as well as her originals, which blend modern jazz with indie pop and rock, neo-soul, jazz-fusion, and free jazz. Tonight, Esra performs her originals and some of her favorite standards along with her long-time collaborators Dylan Pilcher (trumpet), Matt Newton (piano), Georgia Korba (double bass), and Will Bentley (drums).
