Dylan Pilcher Quintet, Jazz, Improvised

A group focused on original music, the Dylan Pilcher quintet draws from various stylistic idioms, creating a unique but inspired sound focused around authenticity, efficacy and virtuosity in an improvised, narrative setting. Made up of vocalist Esra Gurçay, bassist Georgia Korba, drummer Will Bentley, pianist Zane Shihadeh and Dylan on trumpet, the group finds their way through straight ahead textures, ECM-esque soundscapes and personal inflection; using the compositions as larger narrative structures to weave their way through it all.
