Blue Sky Quartet, Progressive Jazz

The Blue Sky Quartet has been a vibrant presence on Toronto’s creative music scene for the past four years, presenting fresh and original jazz rooted in improvisation and informed by a wide range of global musical traditions.

The ensemble features Mike Freedman on guitar, Darius Nargolwalla on acoustic and electric bass, Paul Fitterer on drums, objects, and microphone, and—most recently—Brendan Cassidy on tenor and soprano saxophone and bass clarinet.
