Pat Murray Trio, Jazz standards with a unique Pat Murray stamp mixed with pop from the 60’s to today.

Pat Murray – Vocalist | Entertainer | Band Leader

With over four decades in the performing arts, Pat Murray is a commanding vocalist and band leader whose sultry voice, emotional depth, and magnetic stage presence captivate audiences of all ages. A natural storyteller, Pat brings intelligence, humour, and raw feeling to every performance, seamlessly moving between jazz standards, pop classics, and re-imagined favourites—always making each song unmistakably her own. Born in Orillia and raised in Montreal, Pat grew up immersed in music. Her mother was a prominent jazz singer in the 1940s and ’50s, and her father, a jazz guitarist who played with Oscar Peterson, also gave guitar lessons to a young Gordon Lightfoot. Over the past two decades, Pat has focused on jazz, recording five albums (including two original works) with national radio airplay on CBC and Jazz FM, and performing in top clubs and festivals across North America. Her acclaimed album Ticket to Ride – The Beatles Book showcased her gift for re-inventing iconic songs, offering haunting and sophisticated new interpretations of beloved Beatles classics. Pat has shared the stage with many of Canada’s finest musicians, and has led ensembles ranging from intimate jazz duos/trios to full orchestras. Pat is also an accomplished stage actor, and professional screen actress with appearances in national commercials and U.S. television.

On bass is Bob Arlidge, a highly respected Kingston-based musician proficient on double and electric bass, with extensive experience in jazz, folk, and musical theatre. On piano is Brigham Phillips, an internationally respected arranger, composer, and bandleader. Leader of the Brigham Phillips Big Band and longtime musical director for John McDermott, Brigham brings extraordinary versatility, having worked across jazz, big band, pop, musical theatre, and orchestral music for over five decades.
