Julian Fauth and James Thomson are long-time musical collaborators within the Toronto blues and jazz scene. Fauth is a Juno Award-winning singer, songwriter, and pianist known for his pre-war barrelhouse blues style. James Thomson is a prominent bassist who has anchored Fauth’s rhythm section for nearly two decades.
Key Collaborative Highlights
Performance Residency: For many years, the duo performed together every Tuesday night at Gate 403 in Toronto.
Award-Winning Work: Thomson provided the bass lines for Fauth’s sophomore album, Ramblin’ Son, which won the Juno Award for Blues Recording of the Year in 2009.
