Large Posterior, Modern and Contemporary Jazz fused with elements of more mainstream genres such as Hip-Hop and R&B.
Large Posterior is a collective of young up-and-coming Toronto jazz musicians who focus on making groove based music while leaving space for interactive improvisation. Large Posterior always consists of different musicians – so no performance ever had the same lineup. Large posterior’s repertoire could be labeled but not defined as modern and contemporary jazz fused with elements of more mainstream genres such as hip-hop and R&B. Large posterior draws an audience’s attention through catchy grooves and keeps their attention through the unique improvisatory solos of each musician in the band.
