November Project feat. The Colton Sisters
Rob Horgan is a professional community artist sharing the story of The November Project.
The November Project is based on +300 love letters their grandpa wrote to their grandma during WW2. He wrote while fighting on the frontlines across Europe back home to his Peach Pie in Toronto. Rob learned from their story that there are three fights worth fighting; the fight for human rights, especially when our neighbours cannot fight for themselves, the fight to get home and be with our families, and the fight to keep families together.
Rob also learned how they coped with the dark darks and times of living hard for months on end; through the arts, live music, culture & the reminders of home and the love they had for each other.
Rob recently secured a grant for five-episode series for Bell Fibe and are in talks with The CNE for a collaboration in August 2025.
Rob Horgan is a former community and justice studies professor and retired since a motorcycle accident. The November Project is an amplification of his ancestors commitment to fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today.
Imagine as you read the script, a Canadian folk song like Harvest Moon, Lovers in a Dangerous Time, etc in between each letter allowing time for the audience to let the sentiment and emotion of each letter sit with them. It’s pretty special show.
