Music of Ornette Coleman and Charlie Haden, Karen NG & NYC Friends, Free Jazz, Improvised

Born from a revisit to the album Soapsuds Soapsuds, bandmates Ben and Karen decided to convince their friends to come play Ornette and Charlie tunes with them. We’re very lucky to have Nate and Frank in town before they embark on tour with Ben, and Lina who splits her time between here and Berlin. We’d like to thank Dan Gaucher, Phill Albert and possibly Michael Herring and Lowell Whitty for all the charts from a previous life when these tunes used to get played on a regular basis with a rotating cast of improvisers from Toronto.
